HISTORY

Lightscape Materials Inc. was spun-off from Sarnoff Corporation (previously part of RCA) in March 2009.  The business unit has a long history in phosphor innovation going back to the RGB phosphors required for color TV when the Sarnoff labs was developing color TV under RCA.   Since that point the phosphor unit has developed a number of phosphor materials for a variety of applications including: Plasma displays, Bio-tagging, and security markers.  

More recently the group has focused exclusively on the development and commercialization of LED phosphors to bring new solutions to the solid state lighting industry.  Now a separate company, Lightscape Materials Inc. will be uniquely positioned to contribute to the innovation and growth of the solid state lighting industry.
